Rainmeter is a software helps you to make the impressive bars but it is quite light , not as Vista sidebar,Yahoo widgets or ....Specially, Rainmeter has the plugin system very cool.

After you setup , then follow these intrustions:
1.Install
2.extract files in plugin folder then copy "mega" folder to C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Skins
3.Open Rainmeter , right click on Rainmeter symbol on taskbar then go to Config>Mega and choose mega.ini.
4.If you want your windows has more nice sidebars,install Rainbar.
5.To have a start button likes windows,install vistastart and Viorb .
6.Change old wallpapers by Wallpapers of Windows 7
